Custom AI models

Machine learning that knows your business, not just the internet.

General AI models know a lot about the world and nothing about your stock, your customers or your machines. We train and tune models on your own data, then embed them where decisions are made: in billing, purchasing, the shop floor and your apps.

FAQ

Questions about custom models

How much data do we need?

It depends on the problem. Forecasting usually needs at least a year of sales history. Document reading can start with a few hundred labelled samples. We check during the audit.

Do you build models from scratch or use existing AI?

Both. We use proven open and commercial models where they fit, and fine-tune or train our own when your problem needs it. The choice is about accuracy and running cost.

Where does the model run?

On Avinya Cloud by default. Some models, such as camera or sensor models, run on the local gateway so they keep working without internet.

Who owns the model?

Ownership of models trained on your data is agreed in the contract before work starts.

How do we know the model works?

We agree a measure of success upfront, test on data the model has not seen, and report accuracy every month after launch.

Have a decision you make every day with gut feel?

That is usually the best place for a model. Tell us about it.
